What is the point in hurling abuse?

Without rhyme or reason is no excuse
If one yells obscenities - then ...
Another must consider reason for them

But without any explanation offered
The abuser comes off looking awful
For they have yelled without reason
And then the receiver must then season

Remarks in return to make them stop it
But, in reality, there's no proper set
Of comebacks which make any sense
For the abuser is in their own tent

Which houses feelings only they know
And, until they pull them out for show
They make themselves more of a loser
For there is no way another can choose it

Respect is a quality which we all can provide
If we explain where we are, and do not hide
We should say outright what is on our minds
And explain why we feel something is unkind

Those who hurl abuse without explanation
Have little respect for apt communication
And without that - we both suffer a loss
For the other has nowhere to go but toss

Themselves into a state of complete oblivion
For there is no other answer to living on
As utter fools they've made of themselves
Now all they can do is go hide on a shelf.
