THE DIVINE SMILE

 

        I will arise with the golden beams of sunlight

        this quiet stillness of morning's serenity

 

        distance voice of a shadowed heart not lost

        a shining light that beams outward beyond life

        like a whirring rainbow after a Summer's rain

        refeshing the heated passion of desired romance

        soft cry of sea-birds gliding beyond the blue reef

        a glimmering of a twilight sun setting slowly

        like lavender magic fading from earth's sight

        and this burst of awakening touches me gently

        cradling me, infusing a thousand loving thoughts

        in a brief instant of a timeless memory of eternity

 

        Perhaps I once sat patiently beside a this great divine smile

        and knowingly flourished in his unspoken love.
