When things get you down

And you are full of frowns
Occasionally comes one who
Will stir flutters in you

And then you soar on a cloud
As your wings spread so proud
And you take to flights of fancy
As you ingest the food they see

For everyone sings a different song
And yet - you learn, as you go along
Each pretty bird which flies high
Above all those troubles in the sky

Is only reaching out with wing edge
To try and grab the warmth of a pledge
Made by the star which shines daily
Its beams over all birds as it gaily

Provides life for all who survive
This great journey upon which we ride
As we savor all, and look up to the sky
To thank those beams which make us high.
