It's been said in the past

You will always be last
If your door is never ajar
For people will come far

To you, if you'll only let
Them come with their mindset
For many have alternate views
And so they will then choose

You - because you are there
And because you show you care
And really that's all they want
A kind mind and heart and front

For some are just alone in a yard
They've built around them so hard
They've not had the time to enjoy
All the good things in life to toy

With ... for they've been so busy
Playing at being adult, in a tizzy
And then they wake up and realize
There are many others who prize

Being at one with life's wonders
And shun the world's blunders
For it goes on without some
Who always make themselves run

For these others are laid back
And don't have to always stack
Means to go on in large cupboards
For they've art to keep them huddled

Up in their warm, quiet, cosy abodes
As they plan their art to show
Others who will see and appraise
And then go on about their days

Thinking about their perusals
As they go on with their usual
Everyday world they're absorbed in
Which sometimes comes across thin

And they wonder how much things
Would be different if bells ring
From other belfries than on top
Of their home, office or shop

And they followed the new peal
And went straight there with zeal
For they want beauty found in song
Which they could listen to, along

With words spread upon waves
Which do cover many, many saves
And they reach out for fingertips
They wish to taste on their lips

And pull them towards their hearts
For they have passion in starts
Which envelops beauteous minds
Whose words are so often kind ...
