Well ... here it is - quite high noon

And there've been no new attacks on spoons

Which have been bent back in times passed

As tormentors do take turns throwing trash



Perhaps it is wearing thin - this assault

Which will eventually expire & as a result

The artists will be free to concentrate 

On higher matters of mind and state



And readers will be blessed with a new spate

Of clearheaded thoughts which'll higher rate

Than verse which has had strongly to relate

To other matters which've been irritant of late
