There are so many ways to express what we feel

In writing, in art, in photographs ... we deal

With moments which come in time and then go

Leaving us to deal with them as we then show



How vivid these feelings are deep down in our soul

As we make them come alive again as we then pool

All our efforts into trying so hard to revisit

Those times which made us come on fire in minutes



And we press on trying to revisit them with words

When - in fact - these moments will not be heard

In quite the same way as they were within the fire

Which did burn around us, when we were in the mire
