To Those Who Say It's All Written Christopher W. Thomas (tristram@erols.com) dnb-as1s02.erols.com Thurs, June 26, 1997 at 12:14PM |
To those who say it's all written
We say there will never be a sitting
When we cannot come up with new ways
To express feelings felt on other days
But, particularly, what makes them run
Is prods which come with noonday sun
When choices are made to hamper us
With thoughts and feelings which must
Antagonize, for they twist so in knots
And this aggravation does run so hot
We reach down into the gut for more
And words do seep out and then pore
From high cliffs where divers do jump
Amidst smoky mountains and wood stumps
Which get in the way of other swimmers
Do not phase us as we do not trim it
We just find the highest cliff and bare
Our souls as we do get ready to clear
The juts in the cliff-faces as we dive
And hope that at bottom - we are still
.... ALIVE!
