When we were together

And you were so tender
And we fused our bodies
In unison, and sobbing

I sensed we had beauty
With no sense of duty
For everything felt free
It was just you and me

When we climbed on top
Of a ride without stop
And tides of emotion
Filled us with a notion

We had something more
Than just an outpour
Of passion devoid
Of love so buoyed

It was solid emotes
Which made us float
On clouds of silk
As you made milk

Which I tasted
As you basted
Me with delight
- I took flight

And the trip soared
To places where I roared
And I held you so firm
As you shook and squirmed

And we merged so as one
At a point quite undone
And then we tightly held
Each other as we did meld

And the close embrace
Spared no air or lace
And skin was so wet
I cried as you slept

And hugged you in arms
As I touched your charms
And felt the quiet ooze
Of that which we did lose

And I buried your head
In my chest as you sped
To other parts of mind
As I felt your kind

Of sweet odor arise
And thus did surmise
You then did surprise
With yet a new prize

For even though asleep
You were still deep
In a constant flow
From needs below

And I smiled and blew
Some breath over you
Aiming it at eyes
And hearing sighs

I held you tighter
As you did lighten
The rumble under
A breathy thunder

Your fingers stretched
And so I attached
Myself once again
Even though pain

Was edging out
The joy so stout
Which we had shared
When last we paired

And then the rain
Came in window again
And up you rushed
To close, then brush

Your hair - and look
At me as you shook
And I could see
Even then your glee

And so I did hold
You quite so bold
As you did unfurl
Hair as you curled

And then I knew
You were in a stew
For you needed less
Than this very crest

Which wore you away
Even tho, as I stayed
Your body said more
And thus did implore

Me to continue
In like venue
But your mind
Was not so kind

Now we're apart
And I do my art
As you play games
It's not the same

And so I do pine
For you in my mind
As you do ignore
All of my store

And so I do cry
I want so to try
To put things back
On the right track

But you do not allow
Exchanges which plow
Away all the hurt
For you do shirk

So now we're undone
And it's just crumbs
Which will be pecked
By birds with long necks

As I watch them fight
Over dark and bright
As your so full nest
Is tarred by this test

And straw which held
Now bends as it tells
A story of emotion
Filled with devotion
