Every once in a while something happens to make you gape

Because it is so extraordinary - you feel you gotta tape
Your mouth shut, for fear of then saying something wrong
And yet the need to get it out is so very, very strong

And so you do, and watch then as other jaws gape open
And the silence is so jarring, the pins drop, stoking
Your belief you've let the cat now run out of the bag
And watch as it scurries off on all four paws to snag

An unsuspecting mouse you saw earlier scampering around
And then the rumbles start low in your belly and abound
Is there something you could have done to keep this rite
From evolving the way it has, other than querying tight?
