Everybody uses everybody else in their own small way

For emotional support, physical support ... even pay

The trick is to know well each other's upper limit

So then we can better understand how to bring it

 

In line with all of those other external forces

The ones which push and pull and use up resources

Abuses which subsequently tear us from limb to limb

As we go about our lives, trying so hard to win 



Using anything and everything which comes in our path

For everybody does it, just so they can then grasp

The next tier up the ladder which extends to the roof

And when they get there, they're longer in the tooth



For they've done it all and walked over rungs & bodies

Using everything in their path - a feat really shoddy

And then at the top they can look back at all the pain

They've caused ... whose suffering will come around again.
