Just a short week ago it was sweater weather
And then we opened windows and took a breather
Now the first day of summer has finally come
- The realization heat and humidity will numb
Us into a stupor which will leave us rigid
Dealing with all of the problems triggered
... Sweat rashes, sunburn, heat exhaustion
Too much of it can turn our dispositions
From quiet, calm, patient, sedate beings
Into aggressive, testy sods disagreeing
With everybody on what to do to cool heels
As skin sticks so to clothes - it peels
The solution is to stay still and quiet
And involve oneself in things acquired
Which do not require any oil or lotion
Thus we can be productive without motion.
