There have been times when in rooms we've spoken

At great length about situations which've tokened
Events which've been turning points in our lives
And have stuck with us in mind and thus survived

So we choose to tell the story to make a point
And in the process, we do sometimes thus anoint
Some with the deep meaning ... behind the fable
As others will just as easily slide under table

And this realization makes us aware not of ages
But of minds who do not spend time poring pages
For they are quite immersed in the here and now
And can only communicate about things not hi-brow

Communication does indeed take many, many paths
And sometimes it is witty, and gives us laughs
But when stories are recited which seem disjointed
Listen carefully, for you will see, they are pointed.
