Christopher W. Thomas -

You have abused the privilege of the poet, a sacred trust granted only to a few.
Each poem is a sacred jewel, striving to capture the essence of a thought, a moment, a dream. Each can only be held precious by rarity and through the careful contemplation of words. The poet does not randomly cast out words to harness the feelings of the moment - the poet is a craftsman, selecting only the finest words to be a window on the soul.
You have hacked this sacred trust, spewing poetry as if it were the last hope for the world’s salvation. You have delved into the poet’s nightmare, angst, and have spread your angst to others. Each of us must fight our personal battles, but in a civilized society we have the dignity to keep those feelings within ourselves. Have your words opened a window for us onto the essence of being? No. They have only shown us the ugliness of the soul who craves attention.
Poetry is our mistress, the guardian of something noble within the English language. To respect her, you must treat her with the greatest care. Hide each word until it reaches perfection. Hold each thought until it reaches maturity. Or face the ultimate disgrace - you will show the world your soul and they will have no respect for it.
