Today someone forwarded to me

A letter which filled with glee

My very self and made me buoyant

For it hit me with its calm cant



It spoke at length without platitude

And earnestly earned some gratitude

As it gave me more reason to spout  

For it talked at great length about



One-upmanship ... and thus decried

The habits of those - who do deny

Others due consideration about all

They are, and so does diminish soul



If anyone reading this would like it

Please write to the address at the tip

Of this posting, and you will have copy

So it can be passed on to others atop the



List of those with whom you have exchange

Many who would enjoy going down this lane

And sharing the same thoughts with friends

Many of whom ... might well be on the mend



If not already, - then they soon will be 

Afterwards, tho it may not be their cuppa tea
