There is much to be said for hesitation

For when you do - you fail to make mention
There are things which are better left unsaid
So other people can consider, right from head

When they're left to figure out their own devices
Which they can do, if they're allowed the nicest
Freedom to fill in all of the many, many blanks
Which happen as a relationship evolves and ranks

Itself on a many-tiered ladder, which rises high
Stretched all the way out, on its way to the sky
And at the top, you will see many billowy clouds
Some of which - will speak out incredibly loud

For these white, yellow and grey fluffy masses
Do hang there in a stagnant state which houses
Seeds of many terrible thunderstorms yet to come
For as they get heavier with moisture, they hum

And sometime in the not-too-distant future
They will burst as they get more mature
And then there will be floods all around
As the rains come, and thus will surround

All of us with the torrents of their outpour
Leaving some of us more than a little sore
Whilst we try and put back right the damage
Which will have been caused amidst the carnage

And as we survey it all and try to pick up pieces
We will come to realize there are too many leases
And then we will have to look to the skys above
Yet again - for help in order to resurrect love.
