If I were a lesser man
I would give this the can
But I rise to the challenge
For there is so much to mend
Broken fences and reputations
Are now both begging for station
A place where apt minds can see
The pain and pressure which be
There is so much here to shove
Aside with the slap of a glove
A duel to the end is required
For there is so much hell-fire
And when it's all over I will
Not even draw any blood until
The seconds have put well away
The weapons which've been stayed
So watch carefully as one paces
For there is much to these races
There are signs which do thus warn
How much tripping there is on scorn.
