The Beauty Beyond The Glass Christopher W. Thomas (tristram@erols.com) dnb-as1s32.erols.com Thurs, June 5, 1997 at 2:0PM |
These days, ... when I look out the window to see
There is a whole lotta beauty staring back at me
Many lovely trees with that deep green lively look
Squirrels scurrying about looking for food to cook
And many beautiful red, blue, brown and green birds
Searching out new perches from which they can be heard
Along with occasional chipmunks, and even a Siamese cat
Who ran along my window-sill looking as though he's
all that
And earlier on, from my larger kitchen picture window
There were a family of deer who seemed to miss the snow
Forlornly looking for the occasional tasty green bush
Even one little fawn, who looked as though he'd just
fallen out on his tush
And now the sun is out, shining its beams all around
Making leaves and branches glisten as beauty abounds
It all makes me pine to be out there amidst it all
So much so, I shall take my glass cleaner, and see you
... after the fall ...
