There was a time about 400 years ago

When a man lived who was quite a show
Who wrote 154 sonnets and 37 plays
And then left us with them in a daze

He was quite a genius for his time
And many have followed in their prime
Attempting to equal his fantastic feat
But most have failed - really quite beat

Although these poems are not sonnets
They all have messages which do let
Their readers know a theme quite bold
Which explores significances as told

Although there is pride in these words
There is awareness some are being heard
In places as far away as Down Under
Where there is some bit of thunder

Which tickles this writer to the bone
Knowing there is no reason to be alone
For this medium has connected all over
The world - thus sharing work in clover
