There are mistakes which people can make

When they add things together for the sake
Of attempting to figure out some mystery
Which blinds them so - they can hardly see

It would be nice if nobody made these errors
For when they do - it sometimes is a terror
To find out they added the numbers incorrectly
So their totals are not accurate & circumvent the

Truth of the situation with their own biased view
Which fits nobody, and is a really worn-out shoe
So then one runs around feeling need for apology
When all you really need do is detail the creed

And explain the judgment which forced you into it
Which could be directly simple, or convoluted a bit
For we all do make these assumptions from time to time
As we go through life looking for the next tree to climb

It would be wonderful if each and every one of us did
Choose to stay on the ground and not make these bids
Get our facts straight before we start to play with fire
For if we do, chances are - we will not return any ire ...
