When we deal day-to-day with people who are hurting

It is US who are the ones who come away smarting

For knowing another person on earth is being abused

We do not come away from it all in any way amused



It is thus necessary to inform and then to share

This grevious news about anyone who does so dare

To physically hurt another human being - a brother

Since we are all brethren under God and no other



And This Parent does not want us to be at all hurting

Each other in any way, for He is the supreme being

Who made us all in His image and wants us to stay

Reflective of Him - thus pure in each and every way

 

And this we cannot do if we are at war with each other

And beating each other up to a pulp and then do smother

The people we are supposedly looking out for over time

For we promised so to keep them, but - never "in line"



And those who do are bullies, cowards, and silly men

Who have perverted views of the world as they pen

People up in corrals, which are fenced on four sides

When it is THEY who should be encircled and thus 

                                    made to hide ...
