There are so many games which people play
It becomes so very hard to know what to say
Some interpret simple directions to mean
They are invited to become part of a scene
And others profess to love you quite dearly
And then they pull your heartstrings clearly
By plucking at them with tugs which nearly
Unseat you from the chair really quite early
For you have evolved in a relationship which
Made you decide to choose sides and so ditch
Others who have given you their all and well
As you became so intimate and thus did swell
Both your hearts in a completeness so full
You felt you could share with them quite all
The things which happened day-in and day-out
Then you found something to turn your head about
You had called and spoken to someone quite dear
And in the process had talked for sometime clear
Then a mutual friend had asked where we were
And you'd informed them you'd not seen them here
And this was just hours after you'd been on phone
Professing undying love to them as you'd shown
Your willingness then to tell them all about
The new person you'd met who was quite a lout
Where ARE those people who are so true to values
Which they have placed upon themselves and then do
Everything which they have formulated fully within
And don't allow ANYTHING to steer on paths which bend?
