We all come from somewhere - this is true

So whenever I look back at my life so blue

I know there are things I'd love to do over

But I also know when one peels back covers



To reveal whatever I am today - there is much

Good which came out of where I came from, such

That it is sometimes difficult for some ... to

Equate where I stand, with where I've been, so



I felt it was important to write a few lines

Which clears up the mystery which is not fine

For people make assumptions based on half-facts

And then - they run around spouting off that



Whatever you may see in the work which is here

Know this - every single bit of it is pure

And comes straight from MY heart and MY mind

Nothing has been contributed from any find



If some of my works seem just a bit familiar

Know wherever you might've seen them before

They still came from ME, whatever the score

For some of my work has circulated at stores



Where some have considered good enough to bet

It would look good placed here upon the Net

Prior to these postings which began on March 4

Nothing of mine did I ever place here before



However, a newsletter which I have written 

Called Perceptions was quite widely given

To many people in the Media who've posted

Select pieces which they felt worth roasting



Although I have never seen them on the Web

I am positive they're here and have thus sped

Into minds and hearts who have well received

Certain works of mine which were perceived



To have been higher in status than all the rest

And for this, I do thank them for this test

But whatever happened before - please know

Everything I write has been from this crow.
