Thirty-five long years apart

Two presidents make a mark
... Both have played similar roles
Doing their jobs well, but cajoled

One brought us to the edge of World War
Then was killed before he could do more
The other has pretty darn well kept the peace
But has a similar bent for which he's teased

As his predecessor did thirty-five years before
The current White House resident is also deplored
For having healthy, normal, sexual urges
Which so very many of us do in splurges ...

Yet, Puritannical ethics advocate denial
And now we are bringing our current president to trial
Perhaps, though, it is that this is a very much better way ...
Than to assassinate the poor bugger as they did that day!
