There has to be something wrong with utilities

Which give a clean bill of health after scanning
And then the next boot up indicates a difficulty
... "Sector not found reading drive C" jamming

The POST operation and hanging up the system
... A serious malady for which there's no real cure
Other than to reformat and to have missed them
... Those files which weren't backed up for sure

So a tedious reworking of an entire drive's now in order
A dreaded task full of its very own pitfalls and problems
But something needed to be done as soon as recorder
Has logged it all and categorized all those little gems
