It's that time of year again in New York State

When everyone tosses out junk in a spate ...
Stuff they've held onto over the year before
Now they decide to push it all out of the door

And so stuff piles up for fifty yard sections ...
Along the roadside, almost without connection
But if you don't keep focused on the road edge
Something will get in the way, falling thru a hedge

And that slight bump you feel as junk hits the car
Makes one uneasy, but it usually only slightly mars
But some of the junk is rough-edged and untidy ...
And this stuff can mess up the car if you don't mind it!
