Passing by a neighbor's house ...

Two sights struck me - stood right out
The first was the flowers all along the wall
In pots, about two feet apart, six in all ...

The second was the bold white stripe
Painted around gravel, edged in tight
A way to show just how high is the step
Made of driveway asphalt - a good bet

Connecting to the stone at bottom of path
The one which leads to front door's arch
Where more flowers adorned porch's rail
Geraniums, apparently, doing quite well

Oh, what a pretty sight it all was to see!
One that filled with warmth and glee ...
A practical vision and a one of beauty
All well-aligned ... and done with duty
