Just came home, wondering what all the fuss is

As I was just rushed on by by several speeding buses

One was a HART, and the other two were yellow

I guess they were late picking up kids for a show



Still, it's clear all three of them were breaking the law

(Their drivers forgetting what speed limit signs are for)

Perhaps, the problem is there aren't enough of them

To remind folks to drive slowly and safely to the end



Roads around here are clearly less main than at hill-top 

And yet - these drivers probably go slower near the shops

As if they've decided on one speed for all of the back roads

Because there's so few pedestrians - why should they slow?



But it only takes one slip of the foot or of hands on wheel

And then there could be a very nasty situation unpeeled

I suspect it's time to show a little care and consideration

And change a few habits which cause some consternation
