A clattering of sounds
Disturbs clear thought
Dual vibrations abound
Then, mind is caught
Deal with where it's going
And try to ignore the rasp
Or give up bestowing ...
And then just knock it in half
Which one now most annoys?
Which one is most aggravating?
The chatter or the noise? ...
It's only when contemplating
Alternate lines now employed
For this requires concentration
Like a new chess game deployed
Lines steeped in consternation
As golden hues in a honey jar
Brimming with airy palpitations ...
Turned upside-down upon the bar
Waiting for an apt destination
Getting ready to spoon, then cap
Quickly, before a mess is made
As our life's filled from a vat ...
And not from any single trade
As vibes fill mind with thought
On two levels, and in-between
There are adventures brought
Upon keyboard and upon screen
Dual vibrations sound out their clamor
Deal with them, and reduce their effect
Then write broader thoughts enamored
With tangents which are quite suspect ...
Perhaps 'tis better to resume the clatter
Which so breaks up the sounds of time
Than to deal with this ever wider spatter
From which readers will have to climb ...
