Pears come in a certain shape

When you pare, you can make

Any size and shape you want ...

And if you do two, a pair is done



Whether you pare down or pair up

Either one, can precisely fill your cup

But make sure you don't get a bad one

As a bad pair can mess you up some



Pears can be quite a tasty fruit ...

A pair of nice ones will really suit

But don't you bother paring them

As the skin's really the best part, 

           ... that is ... after the stem ....
