History is what we make it

As we paint in whatever fits
And then distortions occur
Because of stuff inferred ...

A current radio ad's a case in point
Where the past is distorted out of joint
In order to sell cellular technology
A scenario is used rather laughingly

George Washington and Betsy G. Ross
Trying to get the message across ...
Communication is easier with cellphones
If all of us had them - we'd never be alone

I'm not too sure about that one point ...
But I suspect wars would be past coins
Remembered only in the engravings
And the genuine history worth saving ...
