September slipped by just as quick as it could be ...

Now - October's arrived, and in a few months (just three)

We'll be welcoming in ... significantly - a whole new year

One which will ultimately end the twentieth century clear



For now, though ... the first day of October's ended just fine

Bringing with it - a cool breeze in the air, just in the nick of time

As the Fall cool which came suddenly just ten short days ago ...

Suddenly dissipated and Summer's warmth made another show



Now we can look forward to month end - the Eve of All Saints

When we celebrate the day and night - some with little restraint

For they choose to use the night to play some wretched games

All in honor of the night now known as Hallow's Eve (renamed)
