Make something up ... to add to your own rumor mill

Then circulate it, so others will swallow your bitter pill

Every few weeks, water it - (just like plants) a little more

Then watch it really grow, and feel self-satisfied, but poor



For the place you were in, when you decided to seed ...

Came out of a mindset ... at the time - you felt the need 

But now that time has gone, and all you've managed do

Is create a superfluous layer, reflecting - really, only you!
