Three years to the month since a meeting of the minds

Which evolved into a relationship of quite another kind

And now - paperwork's arrived which does state in full

All of it was a fantasy, and none of it had any real pull



So, probably, before the month has ended and ceased

And, if not - then, certainly, before the year's end lease

The mantle carried around with pride on strong shoulders

Will cease, and no longer, at all - will it get any older ...
