From 1947 to 1958 ...

Birth to immigrant state
Then from then to 1966
School years quite sick

From 1966 to 1970
UK - full of plenty
Times to share - ?
But I've been there

Three books done
Interest? ... none
Gave up pushing
Life is onrushing

From 1970 to 1972
Back here and blue
Finally returned again
Money'd changed by then

So I flew to Montreal
After a fortnight unreal
Flat'd been vandalized
And all possessions prized

Were stolen or destroyed
I was not at all overjoyed
It made me so sad and bleak
I could only take two weeks

So Montreal became home
For the rest of that year alone
Took two books full of pictures
Even tried to market them, sure

From 1973 to where we are in 97
There have been pieces of heaven
But most of it spent within four walls
Whilst I've written about those halls

Which I traversed so many times
Going back and forth in my climbs
Up one ladder and down the next
Looking to be in a place not vexed

And now after 25 years here stopped
My mind's getting ready to be popped
Open wider than it ever has before
Because you've opened up my store
