Opportunities tend to come and then go

Sometimes, they pass right under our nose
The trick is to know when the right one's there
Not just a boot scraping on the back of a chair

Sometimes, it becomes apparent there's gold
And this vision is immediate ... doesn't get old
The trick is to pick up on those parts of picture
And join them together when in a place pure

In other words ... when the mind's clean and clear
It will be more in tune to these moments, lacking fear
But if that emotion takes over and then tips the scales
There's no doubt it will - let the wind out of your sails

Awareness of these elements is half of the battle
(Sensing when you've touched on a clear mantle)
For when you do, and everything else seems right
Take hold of that opportunity, and don't lose sight

- Tristram
