This one's all about marks and marquees

A necessary mention of definitions to please
Some have picked up on the use of Marquise
To denote a page upon which is three of these

Since a marquee is either a tent, a royal or a sign
Then the plural becomes "marquise" if all goes fine
In the case of the royal, it denotes this person's wife
But with the objects, then it's the group thing in life

And it's pronounced "mar key" in the singular version
But becomes "mar keys" when used in plural liason
Typically, marquise are used above theater entrances
Flashing on and off, or giving illusions of moving askance

Which the three signs on that page in fact do in triplicate
Thus providing the apt designation to which they relate
Each one in turn, when depressed, leads to another page
And two of these also lead to other material on this stage
