Alaskan Malamutes are a pretty breed

Handsome, strong, with a dignity seen
So many has she - in her outside pen
The count now seems to be rising again

Now she has yet another kind of dog
One she'll have all day long as she logs
All kinds of time, washing, drying, dipping
Following up with one mother of a clipping

This is one of the problems with a Kerry Blue
If you don't stay on top of it, it can get to you
For their coat, perhaps, as it's a non-shedder
Grows far too long, and then, it's a tether

Both for the dog itself and its owner alike
As that heavy coat in hot weather can strike
Causing the dog to get even more run down
Then concern comes with really deep frowns

So today's become the day to change that situation
Give the groomer yet another chance at beautification
So she has a full day now to do all of her good work
Whilst the dog's master frets over missing the tail jerk
