Many of us tend to jump to the wrong conclusions

When seeing only half the picture - it's an illusion 

And then we fill in the details from our very own minds

Rather than checking further into what's made us blind



The problem with this procedure is it cheapens value

Both in our assessment and also in our own selves, too

For then we have made assumptions without the facts

And this, instead of propelling us forward, holds us back



Many of us, though, seem to prefer living in a vacuum

For the ignorance we don seems to give us more room

Which we use to store our own priorities of the mind

Rather than deal with investing the necessary time ...
