Inwardly accessible, but outwardly lost

Swimming against the tide and the rocks
Spirit lifting, shifting, drifting, skipping
Waiting for the moment when dipping

Moisture envelops me all around, in heat
Sensations engulf whole body, head to feet
Muscles tightening strengthens the impact
Voices cry out, as mind's momentarily black

Inwardly accessible, but outwardly lost
Swimming in the physicality of the toss
Absorb my mind as well as my body ...
Take me for eternity, not just as a hobby

My mind cries out for your touch of my skin
My body cries out for a return to our sin ...
My heart cries out for the nearness of love
My soul cries out from the heavens above

Inwardly accessible, but outwardly lost
All I am is yours, just you come across
Take me into the valleys and suck me dry
Just don't ask questions - the who or the why

Just love me for who I am today - a wonder
Lost forever in days of past - all of the thunder
Take me inside of your heart as well as your mind
For there's no other like me - I'm one of a kind ...

- Tristram
