Coming down a country driveway

Found an intriguing sight this day
A bevy of wild turkeys hobnobbing
Their heads swaying and bobbing

Went along slowly, splitting the pack
Watching the birds go this way and that
Half were running down the hill to the left
Whilst other half scurried up to the hill's crest

What's amazing is - even though they split ...
They walked away quietly without any fit
And so I watched them march up the hill
Feeling quite pleased they were whole, still
