Coming over the rise of the hill ...

Saw a sight which excites me now still

Clouds hung in sky in a billowy mass

All vertically in front, as a wall of gas



With no lateral extension to the left or right

Just a block of vapors without a tail out of sight

A vision to remember all of the rest of my days

A clear distinction from the usual sky's haze ...
