Ducks in the park this morn were out of water

Probably, pond was too hot even for oysters

So all nine of them sat in shade of picnic table

(Mother was out somewhere ... not in stable ... )



Sitting close enough to each other for comfort

But not cuddled together - too hot, for one thing

But they looked cosy enough, cooler in the shade

Of a picnic table, under which all nine - just stayed
