Is time so valuable it needs a price?

The answer to that is not so very nice
For, altho' there's no doubt of its value
Putting prices on it indicates there's a due

We need not specify a price for our time
As then we diminish the value of it - prime
For what really counts is doing the job well
And thus - we are served by the work itself

Buy the work, the talent, and the craft ...
For this is what returns more than half
Price that dedication by the hour or day
And some will feel it's just not fair pay
