Last night, someone lighted up the sky ...

Making quite a show for them, you, and I ...

For the pretty rockets burst into glitter

And so I tried to follow them all-a-titter



But every time I got even close to a site

From where the rockets came - dark night

Again and again, I just followed my nose

Only to find them stopped as I got close



Finally, I gave up and headed for home

Running into folks all along the Lake Zone

Many had obviously seen the entire thing

And were now returning in a full string ...



Mums, Dads, kids, babies in carriages

All along side of road, hugging the edges

Making their way slowly back to safety

Having had their fill of all things - tasty ....
