The exploits of just a few
Color the perceptions too
Of others who then view
Some by this vision blue
If you stereotype one
You don't know as some
Person without morals
Then you don't see whole
- Truth, which is self-evident
If only you use good intent
To look at things squarely
For then you'll see fairly
We all need to be loved
The shoe fits like a glove
Some do fall in, then out
For when it doesn't work
... we pout ...
Though - eventually - we do go on
To find one for whom to sing a song
- About, - who better fills our need
Then - our hearts cease to bleed
When we do thus fall in love again
It is true - we seem to make a chain
Which has connected loops all thru
From past loves who shared our view
And if this is seen as immoralistic
Then you are being too simplistic
One person you love thruout time
Can only be found if you first climb
Up the hills of life and into the valleys
And once you've found it - you'll carry
The flame which has ignited you below
Until it goes out, and this will only show
If all is not right at home in your garden
For things have come adrift, & you harden
And then split into two opposite directions
For what you had has then turned to friction
So you dissolve the lure - and the faction
And go forth - looking for another attraction
Who'll fill in the gaps in your total picture
Someone who's tasted, and is yet mature
But to be viewed thus as one who's excited
By the chase alone, and once there, blighted
Enough to go on immediately to yet another
Is a limited view which belongs under covers
