Where did you come from, butterfly of jade?

Where on this earth is it you were made?
You fly straight at me, fluttering in my face
When all around us, there's so much space

You are so vividly green, quite unlike another
So many of which are yellow/brown-smothered
Yet, there YOU are, just a single shade of green
And I have to wonder where is it you've been ...

Where did you come from, butterfly of jade?
Are there more like you, or is it just one grade?
You fly so swiftly and flutter so very fast ...
There's so much wonder in life - see it, as you pass
