I laid out my heart and

I laid out my soul.
I was vulnerable, and
You squashed me like a bug.
You took my heart and
Ripped it in two and
Stomped on it til it was flat.
You took my soul and
Shoved it in a little bottle where
You could always see it and
Laugh at it.
You squashed me and
I didn't deserve that.
You grabbed my thought and
You laughed in my face.
I faced my fears and
Stood up to myself and
You knocked me down and
Kicked me in the face.
You hurt me like no one else could and
I will never forget that,
No matter what, and
You will suffer like I did one day.
You'll put your heart on the line and
Someone will shoot it full of holes and
You'll die, the way I did.
Then I'll be laughing,
Laughing at you.
