Spiders and other bugs have things in common with us
For they always do things together, as though on a bus
Moving in unison along their very-well-chosen path ...
Just like our real Daddys do, when they include you in their task
So many things we did together - both my Daddy and I
I remember how well we jelled when we ate the same pie
There were good times (and bad times) but all of it is packed
Into the brain cells where some day it'll all come unstacked
And then the stories I'll tell about my Daddy and me
Will all come rushing out of a mind once trapped, now free
Just like all those Daddy Long Legs who have just now hatched
From eggs laid at the front door, in the dampness of one patch
