A rumble in the distance was heard ...

As frogs, birds, deer and squirrels stirred
Making their sharp noises almost as loud ...
As the thunder, looming over the crowd

Causing the walk in the park to be abrupt
As rain spatters under hot sun did erupt
And the dense humidity dissipated ...
Clearing the air, becoming so elated

The storm (which hit us hard) has now passed
Slowing stickiness (no longer a task) ...
And the sun, now glistens, on wet leaves
As quietness overtakes rumble, ceased
