There are so many of us who are veterans of one thing or another

Some have been involved in wars - for them this day is like no other

- Those who are conditioned by noises and slight touches from behind

An oversensitivity has developed which has made them quite blind



- To good and positive vibrations which could turn their worlds around

Security in life comes from accepting things as they stand, not bound

By the things which have happened to you in times which are long past

We must deal with life as it unfolds today ... and if you do - you'll last



- A lot longer than you will by continuing to jump at every sound or touch

As no matter what you've been through ... post-war life is not the brush

With death which past scenarios dealt you regularly on a day-to-day basis

Modern-day life by comparison is like living freely and snugly at an oasis



Use the plans which are open to you and which urge you to take a part

So much is out there for the veteran ... so many ways for a new start

All one has to do is look into all there is and take advantage of the help

Do it ... and in time - you will find some security and not have to yelp ...
